Weekly Assignments

Math:

Module 4 Topic A Quiz (Level 1) & Begin Topic B

This week students will have three math focuses: 

1. Take the Module 4 Topic A Quiz (see study guide below)

2. Begin Module 4 - Topic B with Lessons 9-11

3. Kick off our new IXL Recommendations Weekly Contest!

 IXL Weekly Skills: 

  In small group and WIN time, students will be working on their IXL Diagnostic and recommended IXL skills.

Recommended skills can be completed at home too!

The math IXL usage expectation is at least 50 minutes this week.

IXL Recommended Skills Contest! 

Complete as many of your recommended math skills as possible this week. Start with your lowest grade-level skills. Track the skills you complete with a score of 90 or higher.

This week students will receive their new Module 4 workbooks. 

We will complete Lessons 1 - 4.

Math:

The End-of-Module 3 Test will be our main focus this week. 

There are 10 questions on the test, we will complete #1-5 on Wednesday and #6-#10 on Thursday. Keep in mind that this is a Level 2 test and next week closes out the marking period. It is highly recommended to review the study gude posted below.

Welcome Back & Happy New Year!!

Math:

We start the new year off with a fun GRASP activity titled Bake Sale.  

Students will use their fraction knowledge to buy and bake several batches of cookies for a bake sale contest.

Students will also take a practice SBAC test called an IAB (interim assessment block) focusing on fractions. This will not count as a grade.

Lastly, we will begin Module 3 - Topic D with Lessons 18 & 19.

One homework assignment needs to be turned in from the above lessons.
