Below is how we will communicate our learning this year. 

Each week I will post the lessons learned in class, this includes the presentations used to teach the lessons, the classwork assigned along with the homework.  Everything listed below will match your Google Classroom. Everything we do in the class will be here.

Monday:  

Solve multi-step word problems by using metric measurement conversion.


Tuesday:  

Module 1 - Topic A Quiz


Wednesday:  

Multiply by using familiar methods.


Thursday:

Multiply two-digit and three-digit numbers by two-digit numbers by using the distributive property.


Friday:

Multiply two-digit and three-digit numbers by two-digit numbers by using the standard algorithm..


Science Learning Targets: 

Monday - Tuesday:  

5-ESS-1. Support an argument that differences in the apparent brightness of the Sun compared to other stars is due to their relative distance from Earth. .


Wednesday - Friday:

5-ESS1-2. Predict patterns of daily changes in length and direction of shadows.

Calendar Reminders

Graded Assignments in IC

During W.I.N. and Small-Group time, students will work on their individualized IXL Action Plans. 


Their initial diagnostic benchmark produced specific skills sets recommended for growth throughout the school year.


Students are expected to complete at least 50 minutes of recommended IXL math skills each week. 


Additional science-related skills will also be assigned.

 Always sign in to IXL before practicing.


Step 1: Complete Your Diagnostic

Select “Step Into the Arena” and answer the diagnostic questions. Continue until your diagnostic is complete and a dot appears.


Step 2: Practice Recommended Skills from your Action Plan:

Select “Recommendations” and follow your IXL Action Plan. Begin with your lowest grade-level math skills and complete a skill or two per day.


Record each skill on your IXL Weekly Tracker when you earn a SmartScore of 90 or higher.

Need another tracker?  Turn in your tracker sheet for a grade and a ticket.
